Labs is Formatic's testing ground — where we prototype creative ideas and solutions with no roadmap, no client, and nothing to prove. Some experiments grow into products. Most just get to be interesting. Either way, this is where we think out loud.
Culture is the first one — a digital petri dish. A few hundred agents, a handful of species, and one hidden rulebook deciding who's drawn to whom and who flees whom. No agent is told to build anything — yet from pure local instinct, approach and avoid, membranes form, colonies bloom, and organisms chase prey that flees them. You don't design the result. You set the conditions and cultivate what emerges.
Every seed is a different rulebook, so every seed grows a different lifeform. Roll a new one, nudge the conditions, and when something stops you — share it.
